Get to Know Me
Laura Grabowski, PT, DPT, WCS
Hi, I’m Laura! I’m a pelvic floor physical therapist who loves to treat the whole body. I have pursued extensive training in male and female pelvic floor conditions. My career has given me expertise in the management of “complex cases” of chronic pelvic pain conditions; including endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, chronic prostatitis, sacroiliac joint dysfunction, fertility struggles, and more.
As a life-long learner, I have also completed advanced training in dry needling, visceral manipulation, and craniosacral therapy. I am a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy (WCS) since July 2018.
Over the ten years of my career as a physical therapist, my treatment philosophy has evolved thanks to the insights my clients have imparted upon me. I’m truly grateful for each client that is willing to tell me their story and entrust me with the care of their body. I value being an approachable, emotionally safe person--knowing that it takes time to develop trust necessary to create a comfortable environment for therapeutic healing. I believe you are the true expert of your body; therefore, I use active assessments to help you understand your movement patterns/habits and learn ways to manage your symptoms.
As a mom of two young kids, I relate to the challenges of implementing lifestyle changes. I enjoy collaborating with my clients to help create a feasible home exercise program. Whatever barriers are limiting you from your goals; I’m happy to brainstorm and problem solve with you because I want my clients to feel successful when they leave physical therapy.
After losing my mom to cancer, I experienced a perspective shift on what the body can do for you. Movement was essential in my grief and processing after losing my mom. I realized how movement can reduce inflammation, improve sleep, improve mood, shift perspectives, and transform the way you live! This experience has fueled my passion for helping clients reach their goals to restore the joy of doing the activities you love!
